I haven't written a tutorial on anything for a long time so bear with me. I have tried to include every step in the process, either through explanation or with screen captures.
This isn't brilliant by any means, but it is practical. Remember that you can make line drawings on your top layer and the shadow will carry on along with the name to the 2nd layer.
If you have any questions be sure to send me a note, and I will try my best to answer them.
Important Update
I recommend saving your watermarked image, either using "save as..." or use the jpeg compression. Then you can "undo" the watermark to remove it and keep your original art pristine!
Permission is granted to R.A.T.F. to put this tutorial on their DeviantArt site and also their external site.
I like the tute for PhotoShop! You can move the layer like that in PSP...I just never thought to mention it! And the idea of a brush is even better IMHO so you can change the color of the watermark, as well as the size. Guess I just PSP!
This will be a new one for me, but will have a go.....not that well up on PSP, just the basic's.....So If I shout '' HELP '' you know it's because I have wonderful text and the picture got eaten
The most important thing to remember is that once the watermark is added, its there for good! Or you can use the compression button for jpeg on your toolbar and save the watermarked copy for uploading. Then go back to your image and remove the watermark layer.
I would have gone into this more, but the tutorial was about how to make the watermark...not how to use it. Maybe I should make a tut for that too.
Just paste it over those silly flowers at the bottom of the tute! Know what you mean about the Paper Hazard! One of the main reasons I got a computer, and can't live without it. I leave notes to my self on my calendar on the main screen!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
